Media accreditation

Journalists and photographers are required to apply for and be granted media accreditation to the Riksdag to be able to work independently in the Riksdag. Media accreditation can be granted to individuals who undertake tasks of a primarily journalistic nature on behalf of media companies, as an employee or freelance. Primarily means that, all together, the tasks correspond to at least 50 per cent of full-time during the period for which the application applies.

Media accreditation to the Riksdag gives access to Riksdag premises on weekdays during regular working hours (8.00–16.30) and during other times in connection with meetings of the Chamber or the committees, parties or press conferences.

If you are granted media accreditation to the Riksdag

The Riksdag Administration processes applications for media accreditation as quickly as possible on the basis of existing regulatory frameworks.

If your application is granted, you will receive a decision and further information by email, among other things, about how to get your media pass and about the rules that apply in the Riksdag premises. When visiting the Riksdag, your pass must be visible at all times.

If your application cannot be granted, the Riksdag Administration will contact you and give you the chance to supplement your application.
