Here you can find practical information for journalists and photographers wishing to cover any of the conferences organised by the Riksdag during the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in January–June 2023. It will also be possible to watch the conferences via the Riksdag webcast service.
Journalists and photographers wishing to participate on site need to apply for and be granted media accreditation to the Riksdag. Journalists and photographers with media accreditation to the Riksdag can attend on the following dates:
- 30 January 2023: Meeting of the Chairpersons of COSAC
- 2–3 March 2023: CFSP/CSDP Conference
- 27 March 2023: JPSG Europol
- 24 April 2023: Challenges and opportunities for the EU's future energy supply
- 15–16 May 2023: The Plenary Meeting of COSAC
- 19 June 2023: Democracy in Europe

Journalists and photographers with media accreditation to the Riksdag are to enter the West Wing of the Riksdag via Riksgatan 1, where they will be required to go through a security check.
Premises for the media
The Chamber Foyer, through which conference delegates pass on their way to conferences in the Chamber, is situated on floor 5 of the West Wing of the Riksdag. The Riksdag Press Centre, which is used for press meetings and short interviews, is also located there.
The press foyer with entrances to the Chamber’s press gallery is situated on floor 7 of the West Wing. The Chamber’s photo locations can also be reached from the press foyer. In addition, there are work stations, a kitchen, televisions and reading chairs for the media. Journalists can also collect personal guest log-ins to the Riksdag’s wireless network in the press foyer.
Photography
Photography for news production purposes is allowed at conferences that are open to the media.
Photographs may be taken outside meeting rooms, provided that no entrances or exits are blocked. Photography is also permitted in premises to which persons with media accreditation have independent right of access. Photography is not permitted in the café or restaurants, nor is it permitted in any offices without the permission of the owner of the office. Nor is photography permitted for feature films, advertising etc.
